How much does live in care cost?

Tailored to your Loved One’s Care Needs

From simple companionship to 24/7 live-in dementia care, we offer a comprehensive range of specialist live-in care packages to manage live-in care costs, which will be tailored to the exact needs and individual requirements of your loved one. CareSisters are an introductory care agency, meaning we help you identify and find the right care and carers for your loved one and provide you and your carers ongoing support as and when you need it.

We know how critical finances are when it comes to considering care for your loved one, so we constantly review the market to ensure we are one of the lowest-priced care agencies in the UK.

Our pricing (including agency fee) starts from £840 per week for one live-in carer looking after one loved one, and £1,260 for one live-in carer looking after a couple. If your loved one has more advanced care needs, such as advanced Dementia and/or more complex average physical disabilities this could be up to £1,050 per week (including agency fee).

Because everyone’s needs are different, we will provide you with an estimate of your loved one’s live-in care costs once we have met them for an assessment.

Funding live-in care costs

We believe everyone should be free to continue experiencing the happiness and comfort of living in their own home, and the good news is for the majority of those requiring care, this is often also the most affordable.

While your family or your loved one will need to pay for the cost of live-in care, there is means-tested financial support available from your council should you need it. Your loved one might be eligible for the local council to pay towards the cost of their care if they have less than £23,250 in assets. Assets include savings, pensions and existing benefits but exclude the equity value of their home, and they will not be required to sell their home before seeking help. Exactly how much your council will pay depends on what care they need and how much they can afford to pay.

While we can provide live-in care for your loved one, we can’t provide financial advice. Please contact your local council if you think you may need financial support from the council for your love one.
