We understand that it’s a very personal choice to invite our home carers to live in your home and experience every moment of your life with them. That’s why we take great care in both selecting the home carers we work with and in placing a carer with your loved one. It’s vital to ensure their caring skills, experience and personality match your loved one both professionally and personally.
1. Wonderful carers we’ve met through care placements
Most of the home carers at CareSisters are those we have met through our own care placement experience, giving us absolute confidence they will provide warm, caring, consistent, quality care for your loved one. As well as the carer’s we have personally met through caring, several have come to us through recommendations from other carers. As our carers are self-employed, they have a wide network of carers they have worked with in the past and only recommend them to us because they trust them to care for their clients as they would.
2. Experience, extensive checks and minimum requirements
Most of our home carers have over 5 year’s caring experience, many as much as 10-15 years experience. We very rarely recruit carers new to us, but if we do we require them to have at least three year’s live-in care experience, references we always call on and we insist on meeting them face to face for a final assessment. As well as assessing their experience, training and character, all carers new to CareSisters go through extensive background checks. We accept less than 5% of carers who apply to join Care Sisters.
3. Our home carers love our small family team
Our carers love working with us because they know we will match them with a client that is the right fit for them and support them throughout their time looking after your loved one - in their own words, like no other agency they have worked with before would. Sue, Kim and Julie spend many hours each day keeping in touch with our home carers, helping them out with any issues they are facing, or often simply for a friendly chat. Several of our Trustpilot reviews are in fact from carers who have worked for several agencies in the past and now work with Care Sisters exclusively.
4. The right professional and personal match
Following our initial assessment with you, we will get in touch with our available home carers to ensure we find someone suitable for your needs, both professionally and personally. We must take the necessary time to find the right carers who have both the skills and personality match for your loved one. We go as far as finding out what our carers hobbies and interests are to help us with matching with your loved ones. As a live-in care agency will ensure the carer assigned to your loved one is capable and qualified to perform all duties required, to ensure both the safety of the carer and your loved one. We ensure all carers have the required experience, qualifications and training, and we conduct thorough checks including DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) and reference checks, plus we require all our carers to have a valid passport, driving licence and public liability insurance.

Why did you become a home carer?
I first started being a volunteer and then went into oncology. I met a group of missionaries back home, worked with them for a little while then eventually ended up in the healthcare industry.

I love making a difference in my client's lives.
Why do you like working for CareSisters?
There is always someone to talk to and they always listen, so I feel very supported as a carer.

Why did you become a home carer?
My first experience as a carer was looking after my own mother, which I did for 25 years. I have since continued as a professional carer as I have a deep seated caring nature for people.
What do you love about it?
I love how I can help clients become independent in their own homes and observe through my support how their well being improves over time.
Why do you like working for CareSisters?
This agency has been the best agency I have worked for. There is always someone to turn to and there are always little messages of encouragement.
